Wilfreda the Wanna-Be Witch e122 by megawackymax Wilfreda the Wanna-Be Witch e122 by megawackymax
Julian asks Milagros for help to find cooking tutorials on video.

This was inspired by seeing my own little niece watching those videos. This generation, man...

It looks like Julian nearly caught Milagros off-guard, probably very suddenly, but it's nice of her not to be put off by it. Actually, it's sweet to see her being helpful as Julian describes his ambitions, and maybe even a little sweeter that she can take a bit of an interest too. Heh, I guess she was still off guard when she let her own interests slip out like that, but then again weren't we just talking about future career possibilities for her?

BTW, I had gone back to the first strips when wondering about the others' career paths, but apparently just a few shy of  far enough – #1. :) On the bright side, the fact that Betty's sense of purpose has been shining so well since the very beginning. Of course, Milagros' desire fits her to a T, but it will be fun to see more of how she goes about it. Maybe there's a possibility here?

Thanks again for some very bewitching fun even when there are no witches around.

Well, Milagros is not dumb or anything (trying to avoid the Blonde Ditz stereotype, here), but she still hasn't unlocked the full potential of her tablet technology. She uses it mainly to play little games and watch videos, although she hasn't gone beyond the confort zone, as demonstrated in this strip. I'm tempted on a little detour from this arc to have Milagros show Betty/Wilfreda her new discoveries online, but I feel I need to stick to Julian on this one. We can have more Milagros later.

Yup, straight from the first strip ever, we have the Main Five expressing their dreams. Hey, here's a little trivia: back then, those characters didn't have name. They were not supposed to be even recurrent characters. The whole first strip is just a setup to have Wilfreda stand out. But I liked all of those characters and decided "why not?", and added them as part f the cast immediately after that.

The more you know...

Yes, it has been established that cat pictures rule the internet.
Wait until you get to shop class, now that you're in an era where Sword Forging videos exist. Oh, and wiccian stuff for Wilfredia.

We don't really have Shop Class here in Argentina; not as a regular course. I went to a Technical School and there we had lots of Shop Classes, though.

I suppose I should post the sword video I was thinking of. If a kid can be trusted with a hammer, (and need to be kept busy for awhile) they can make a tiny sword. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ii0C3j…

Ooh, right. I've seen a few of these. They're very interesting; especially one that showed a guy turning a large wrench into a short sword.

And I forgot to mention another thing in my first reply: Wilfreda thinks all wiccan girls are posers. :-P

That only makes me want to see Wilfreda hanging out at the mall. A little stop at the food court could turn into a sharp-tongued duel for the ages.

Maybe for our generation, but I've seen my little niece hooked on these toy videos and I was quite amazed by it. It's like unboxing videos, but for kiddies.

In fact, I drew this specific strip inspired by my niece and her YouTube experience.

My youngest liked the toy videos, but now she's hooked on FNAF.

My little niece turns five today, I don't think she's ready for Freddy and the gang.
